The popularity hasn't come without some controversy however, as many players were angered at "pay-to-win" airdrops when the game first launched. The action MMO has found success in Early Access, becoming one of Steam's best-selling games of 2015. ![]() The developer is currently working on plans for doing the same with H1Z1: Just Survive. What's more, H1Z1: King of the Kill will be taken out of early access on PC and will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 mid-2016. All players who have purchased H1Z1 on or before February 16 will be granted access to both games when they separate. Z1 Battle Royale is a Free to Play, fast-paced, action arcade, competitive Battle Royale. "We want to make sure we give both titles the support they need and deserve to truly flourish." Starting February 17 both games will be available for $20 each on Early Access. "Many players in the community have been discussing splitting the game and we’ve heard you loud and clear," said the developer in the announcement. One was solely focusing on the initial survival game, while others were dedicated to the Battle Royale game mode. Play Daybreak said last year it started to notice separate communities pop up within H1Z1. H1Z1 latest version: An interesting alternative to DayZ.
